On behalf of the O + W.P. Rw. Co. I would respectfully petition your body to grant us the right to straighten our line, by permitting us to extend our straight line from west of the College Campus, into, or upon the College property; then by a gentle curve pass off on the east side in such a feasible manner as to join or present straigh[t] track in the deep cut.
The following sketch shows in black, present line, and, in red, the desired line. West Line, Boys Cottage, College Campus, Dining Hall, East Line, Lake Virginia.
